On February 8th, the eighth grade class of Naples Christian Academy along with several parents and faculty will travel to Belize City, Belize to partner in ministry with the Central American Lutheran Mission. Please pray for us as we share Jesus through our skits, testimonies, work projects and our attitudes. Our theme for this year is "Don't look down, look up!" taken from 1 Timothy 4:12.

Day 5 Tuesday
Sorry for posting so late today but we had a special night out for our last evening in Belize. We went to a place on the ocean called Old Belize. We got to swim in a beautiful lagoon and slide down a giant slide into the water. After that we had a very nice dinner at the restaurant there. Beautiful sea breezes and a nice time together capped off what has been a special trip. Today we worked mostly on painting projects and also a group at the preschool with the children. We worked to finish all of our projects and were able to complete four painting projects at four different locations as well as adding supports to the loot of a home and building stairs for Mrs. Inis. She is a wonderful saint who does so much here in the community. Some of the boys helped put a coat of sealer on the playground jungle gym and swings at the preschool in Lords Bank. We head home tomorrow. I know you will be anxious to see your kids and give them hugs. They have done an outstanding job and I am very proud of them. In the morning we are doing a prayer walk in one of the communities we worked in before lunch and home. Prayer for teaveling mercies once again. God bless!

Day 4 Monday
This morning started early for us. After our daily egg sandwich breakfast at the hotel about 7:15,we went to the Tubal Vocational School here in Ladyville to do their morning devotion. This school provides opportunity for teens with difficulty in standard school to learn a trade such as construction or auto repair. Many have had difficult lives. We were able to do all four of our dramas and three students shared personal testimonies in addition to those who explain the dramas. It was a powerful morning. God was faithful and I could tell that many of the youth were touched. From there some went to paint and another group went to a preschool to do crafts and play with the children. All are well and God has favored us with good weather. Thank you for your prayers!

Day 3 Sunday
Before I talk about today I want to say what a great job the team did last night at El Shaddai church. We did all 4 skits and some testimonies for their youth service. God really used the students to share His message to their teens. They loved our dramas. Then we had a bonfire and roasted marshmallows together. It was a really cool evening. This morning we went back to do Sunday School for the kids. We did a couple of craft projects as well. This afternoon we had the opportunity to go with their youth to see the ancient Myan ruins and temples. That was a fun experience for our group and the youth from El Shaddai. God is good!

Day 2 Saturday
Today has been very productive and it's not over yet. Most of the day today was spent painting at 2 locations in Ladyville. Both were homes of and it was great to see the students all chipping in to do their part. We also were able to get some repairs done to some flooring on one of the homes where the family was almost breaking through to the ground below. We are leaving in just a few minutes to go to a joit youth service at a Spanish church nearby. Our students will be doing their skits and sharing testimonies during this service. We will also get to see some skits from the Belize youth from this church. The team is having a wonderful time and we ask that you continue to pray for us.

Day 1 Friday
The team arrived safely in Belize City today and after getting though customs and checking into our hotel we headed out to have a picnic lunch, meet Pastor Floyd, and take a " jungle walk" to see the howler monkeys. What an amazing experience it was to see some of Belize's famous wildlife up close. What a beautiful country. We had a fantastic dinner at Grandma Peggy's and are all very tired after a long day. Looking forward to tomorrow's adventures.
